Our mission to innovate and continuously improve drives our Research & Development department to design new drilling technologies which keep Hy-Tech at the leading edge of the industry. Designing in SolidWorks, the R&D team collaborates with Management, EH&S, shop and field crews to identify key innovation opportunities.

State of the art shop facilities and equipment along with the latest technology give our R&D team the ability to build anything they can dream of.  Selected projects are guided through numerous rounds of design, prototyping and field testing until the project team approves them ready for implementation.

THE LEADING INNOVATOR IN DRILLING TECHNOLOGY.

  1. SOLIDS REMOVAL SYSTEM
    A true “closed loop” system, our revolutionary centrifuge design removes over 95% of the drill cuttings from our return fluids. Using the same 1000 gallons of fluid with minimal makeup water, the system can reduce fresh water consumption by up to 90% per day, with cuttings reduced to the consistency of toothpaste for trouble-free storage or transport.
  2. ROD HANDLER
    Able to handle 3-metre HQ, NQ and BQ drill rods at 5 metres (or 1.7 drill rods) per minute, the compact and lightweight design of Hy-Tech’s rod handler is unlike anything else in the market – making it easy to transport by helicopter, while reducing injuries and improving overall safety.
  3. PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE - FIELDVIEW™
    Our revolutionary FieldView™ software platform connects you to every aspect of your drilling operation from the comfort of your desktop, tablet or mobile device - so you're always in the know.
  4. HY-TECH MOBILE APP
    Our custom built mobile app supports our drilling team in running an efficient and productive project using their iPad. It provides quick and easy access to drilling and safety information such as Safety Data Sheets, Work Instructions, and System Processes. It also allows them to enter and store drill site information while in the field such as site audits, site photos, incident reports and pre-operational checklists.
