Hy-Tech Drilling is strengthening its long-term investment in the United States with the establishment of a permanent operational hub in Rapid City, South Dakota. Representing an estimated $500,000 long-term investment through the initial five-year lease and development of the new hub, the project is expected to create several full-time career opportunities, both at the Rapid City facility and in the field. Hy-Tech offers a competitive compensation package, with field positions featuring hourly wages ranging from $25.50 to $42.00 and a performance-based bonus program.
Located on Boom Boulevard, the Rapid City facility will serve as a permanent operational hub supporting field operations, equipment, employees, and business development across the United States. Construction is expected to begin shortly, with the facility anticipated to be operational in early 2027.
The investment reflects Hy-Tech's continued confidence in the Black Hills, where the company has supported mineral exploration and mine development projects for several years. By establishing a permanent presence in the region, Hy-Tech will improve equipment readiness, streamline mobilization, and strengthen its ability to respond quickly to customer needs throughout the western United States.
"The Black Hills has become an increasingly important region for our business, and establishing a permanent operational hub reflects our confidence in its long-term potential," said Dwayne Ross, President of Hy-Tech Drilling. "This investment strengthens our ability to support customers more efficiently, respond quickly to project needs, and build even stronger partnerships with customers and communities throughout the region."
